Lamia Bazir was invited to open the 8th Edition of the Junior Enterprise Competition organized by Injaz Al Maghrib.
In her speech before the Minister of Education, the US Ambassador to Morocco, the Head of Morocco’s Employers association, and Moroccan business and civil society leaders, Lamia Bazir saluted public private partnerships in favor of youth empowerment and emphasized the need to invest in youth education and training.
Lamia Bazir explained that youth in Morocco and the wider MENA region suffer from a lack of sense of belonging and valorization. Therefore, she called political, economic, and civil society leaders to create more spaces and venues for youth’s voices to be heard, youth’s energies to be positively utilized, and youth’s role to be valorized.
Integrating youth in positive networks is what will save them from being recuperated by destructive ones.
