“One of the most defining encounters in my journey was meeting the local women of a village in the Middle Atlas Mountains. Through them, I did not simply witness poverty — something I was already aware of — but I discovered something far more powerful: the immense wealth of human potential that exists in marginalized and remote areas.
I realized that poverty can never conceal the dignity, intelligence, creativity, and strength of human beings. What many describe as “underprivileged communities” are, in reality, communities rich in resilience and untapped talent. What they lack is not value — but opportunity. And every individual, regardless of geography or income, deserves equal access to opportunities that allow them to grow, nurture their dreams, and create value for society.
The second fundamental lesson that has shaped me is the importance of always keeping a “foot on the ground.” Even when I have the opportunity to work within institutions or engage in high-level decision-making spaces, I remain deeply connected to people from diverse social and economic backgrounds.
This connection is not symbolic — it is essential. It gives meaning to my work. It reminds me that policies and strategies are ultimately about people. Understanding and respecting different lived realities allows me not only to serve with competence, but to represent voices that are often absent from decision-making tables.
Every person brings perspective, experience, and insight that enrich the solution. True leadership, to me, is about bridging worlds — bringing grassroots realities into institutional conversations, and ensuring that development is inclusive, respectful, and human-centered.”
Lamia Bazir Testimony
“Leadership is much more than learning to speak in public, being self-confident, and impressing others. Leadership is empowerment: the power to see and unleash what is best in others. To be a leader is to be a “dealer of hope” someone who has the ability to listen to others’ needs and possibilities and build up the necessary trust to enable them to blossom.”

“All my projects are based on the conviction that every human being and every citizen – regardless of geographical location and financial means – has a role to play, a potential to mobilize! My projects go beyond the limits of isolation and poverty, create bridges, and invest in women and youth to enable them to have a bigger impact on the sustainable development of their territories. “

” Women’s Empowerment is unleashing – not giving – power. It is the process of overcoming the structural and cultural limitations that inhibit women; thereby, facilitating and enabling women’s full access to their inner and collective power.”

“This initiative goes beyond programs and activities, it is an investment in human beings, it is changing mindsets, and communities. Most importantly, it is a story of friendship and solidarity between an urban student and rural women who shared a common faith in their power as women and an unbeatable will for change.”

“Politics is nothing more than an interest in the public good and an engagement for the public interest. Whether it is through social activism, intellectual production, or political engagement, every citizen must be a political being.”
